The name of this painting is ‘The Gift”.
Nature and life itself is a wonderful gift. And it should be respected with that in mind.
In modern society nature is only regarded as a resource. To be used or destroyed.
In my life as an artist I find inspiration in Peters understanding of how modern societies have passed
through several phases and move towards the Fourth Phase. I find hope in Peters words,
when he predicts that time soon will show, that we find a sustainable way of living.
Entering the Fourth Phase of life.
About 15 years ago my wife Anette and I spend a week in Frigiliana. One day we walked up the small
path to The Castillo. Looking for an easier way down we passed The Molino, where Peter was standing
outside picking fruits from a tree. He smiled at us and asked if we would like some. And a few minutes
later we were sitting in the beautiful living room, drinking tea and talking with Claire and Peter, who
shared their ideas and understanding with us. It was one of those life changing moments.
Since that day we have visited Claire and Peter, when we are in Frigiliana.
