When you hear the term “Natural Horsemanship”, what comes to your mind?
Bareback riding and maybe horses without shoes?
Those are two of things that some of us practice, but in my case it does not define the work I want to accomplish.
A work which all of us are doing at some point in our lives,- finding the right partner or leader to grow from within.
The horses are at all times in the moment and can help us to practice this more and integrate it in our daily routine.
Through trust and respect we can do exercises with them and sometimes even ride them, so as to feel a true connection.
Not only to them at this moment, but most importantly to ourselves.
Our relationship with others will change, our point of view regarding many important aspects of life will be altered and you will notice a difference in how others take you seriously and see you for what you are, not what they want you to be.
All because you have overcome your fear, first of all to get in the ring with such an imposing animal. Who generally is not even aware of his size and weight. But is placid and willing to be included in this process of mutual growth, for the simple reason of love and empathy.
Give them the same by treating them in the most natural way you can. Don’t separate them from one another or lock them up!
They are pack animals, with highly sophisticated communication skills, that go far beyond our voices, which want to command and control.
The 14 chicken have no names, the roaster is called Leo
They have a big house and are allowed to roam free from midday onwards, when the horses are out on the field. Coming back into the stall when the light fades to sleep safely in the fenced-in area.
